National School Choice Week (NSCW) informs, inspires, and empowers parents to discover the K-12 education options available for their children, including traditional public, charter, magnet, online, private, and home schooling.
Every January, tens of thousands of schools, organizations, and individuals plan unique events and activities to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options in their communities.
In 2024, we are partnering with 332 schools and organizations in Alabama to raise awareness of K-12 education options.

We will even hold a fun field day in April and May. We plan to celebrate and hold many functions with our new house system for good behavior and accelerated choices. |

| Jan 22 | Anniston | Constantine Head Start – Community Center | Constantine Head Start will be celebrating our school spirit all week. Events will include a pep rally, parade, wacky tacky day, sock day, and hat day. |
| Jan 22 | Munford | Mumford Head Start | Munford Head Start will be celebrating school choice all week long. The festivities will kick off with tye-dye. We will follow up the week with a community parade, community pep rally, family awards night, and more! |

| Jan 22 | Cordova | Ready Maids | Room to Boom’s first event will be to show the community that we are teaching the children life skills that aren’t taught traditionally. We not only educate the children but we have several resources to help anyone in our community who needs help with a wide range of issues. During our information sessions we will try and reach more individuals who might need our services but don’t know about what we can do. |

Students write thank you notes to their families for choosing UCS for their education, we pass out cereal bars to parents with a thank you sticker attached during morning drop-off, we do daily social media blasts regarding school choice, and have students outside during drop-off and pick-up times in their yellow scarves. |
