What?

Families in Pennsylvania have more choices for their children’s education than ever before! Parents learned more about the different K–12 education options available for their kids at the Harrisburg School Fair on February 1st at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts.

At the school fair, parents had the chance to meet representatives from traditional public, public charter, public magnet, private, faith-based, online, home, and nontraditional schooling options.

The Harrisburg School Fair was hosted by PA Families for Education Choice in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. It was family-friendly, free to attend, and included complimentary food, face painting and balloon artists.

What?

Families in Maryland have more choices for their children’s education than ever before! Parents learned about the different K–12 education options available for their kids at the Maryland School Fair on January 25th 2025, from 11:00am to 3:00pm, at St. Mary’s Catholic School.

Featuring a panel discussion on school choice and special program on summer enrichment, this event showcased local traditional public schools, public charter schools, independent schools and home school options to help families learn about their school choice options in Maryland. Parents got the chance to meet educators and get their questions answered to help make the best and most informed choice for their family!

The Maryland School Choice Fair also featured Higher Learning: The DMV HBCU Experience College Expo: A Taste of the American HBCU tradition. With alumni admissions tables from more than 20 HBCUs, a Step-And-Scroll Drumline and an HBCU academic demonstration featuring the only HBCU platform showcasing the academic offerings of HBCUs; this event was an HBCU extravaganza.

This event was hosted by Parents Alliance for Education Options and The Black Student Fund in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. This event also highlighted a range of educational support organizations including: Mocha Moms, X is Possible, Alpha Earl Apps, Moja Consulting, Patriots Technology Center, ConnectDMV, and family friendly entertainment like face painting, a DJ and refreshments.

What?

Families in New Jersey have more choices for their children’s education than ever before! Families joined us at the New Jersey School Choice Expo on January 25th, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Somerset Hotel & Conference Center to explore these options, learn how to access a range of educational models, and engage in important discussions about the future of education in our state.

At the expo, parents met representatives from traditional public, public charter, public magnet, private, faith-based, online, home, and nontraditional schooling options who were available to answer questions and discuss the unique benefits of each model. We also addressed New Jersey’s investment in education, the complexities of special education, and how we can support and sustain all models serving our diverse learners.

Hosted by the New Jersey Coalition for Learners in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation, this event was family-friendly, free to attend, and included complimentary food, face painting, and balloon artists.

What?

On February 1st 2025 from 10:00am to 2:00pm students and parents joined Oakland Enrolls and National School Choice Week at Oakland Unity High School for an informational event to learn about their local charter school options and get your enrollment questions answered! Oakland Enrolls had volunteers on hand to help families fill out applications for local charter schools and learn what school options will work best for their family. With interpreters available for Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Mam and Arabic, this event was accessible to the whole community. This event was fun and family-friendly, featuring a balloon artist, photo booths, free food and face painters!

What?

Families in Florida have more choices for their children’s education than ever before! Parents learned more about the different K–12 education options available for your kids at the School Choice Safari on February 1st 2025, from 10:00am – 1:00pm at Zoo Tampa.

This event offered Hillsborough County families a unique opportunity to explore educational options and connect directly with K-12 school representatives. Families met with school staff, asked questions, and gained valuable insights to help make informed decisions about their school choices. GuidEd representatives were also on hand to provide free, bilingual assistance, meeting individually with families to offer personalized support. After the event, GuidEd followed up with each family to continue assisting them throughout their school search journey.

The School Choice Safari was hosted by GuidEd in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. It was family-friendly, free to attend, and included complimentary food and face painting, magicians, photo booths, and games. Exciting giveaways and raffle prizes were available throughout the day.
