Planned by a diverse coalition of organizations, schools, and community leaders, this special event will celebrate school choice options available for children and families across the State of Massachusetts. This event, which is National School Choice Week’s official flagship event for the state, will take place at The Capitol – Great Hall and will feature a student showcase including remarks by students, teachers, and supporters. Attendees will also enjoy musical and artistic performances from talented students at this fun, energetic celebration. This will be one of Massachusetts’s most prominent National School Choice Week events.
Started in 2011, National School Choice Week (NSCW) is the world’s largest annual education-related celebration. As a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, NSCW shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country. From January 26 through February 1, 2020, more than 50,000 independently-planned events will be held in celebration of the Week.
During NSCW, schools across America celebrate the challenging, motivating, and effective education they provide to students. At the same time, parents use the week to learn more about the education options available to their children, in advance of the upcoming school year.
