The Broach School – Zephyrhills, Florida Planning Weeklong Spotlight Event

WHAT:
– Students, teachers and staff at The Broach School – Zephyrhills in Zephyrhills, Florida are excited to announce that they will be celebrating National School Choice Week with a special spotlight event! Our School Choice Week Celebration lasts the entire week of NSCW. We have many activities planned for the week, such as daily gratitude journals, door decorating contest, essays, or comics about why the students love The Broach School. We will be celebrating our parents by having “Muffins for Moms,” and “Donuts for Dads,” on one of our mornings. Additionally, we have many different presentations for the students to highlight why our community is special – like Pasco Fire & Rescue, Pasco Animal Rescue, City of Zephyrhills Sanitation and Career Source in Dade City. This also gives our students the opportunity to see what kinds of careers they could look at in their future. Lastly, we have The Broach School Unplugged on Wednesday of that week. No cell phones, tablets, Nintendo switch or electronics are allowed for the entire day. Instead, they are encouraged to interact with their peers and the teachers, play board games and card games when finished with their work and just overall engage with each other.

LEARN MORE: Florida School Choice Roadmap

National School Choice Week shines a spotlight on effective education options for children and is the world’s largest celebration of opportunity in K-12 education.

As a not-for-profit effort, we focus equally on traditional public, charter, magnet, online, private, and home education options. We are nonpolitical and nonpartisan, and we do not advocate for legislation.

Every January, our participants plan tens of thousands of events and activities – such as school fairs, open houses, and student showcases – to raise awareness about school choice across all 50 states. Year-round, National School Choice Week develops resources and guides to assist families searching for schools or learning environments for their children.
