Choose A School AZ is excited to announce that they will be celebrating National School Choice Week (January 26-February 1, 2020) with a special spotlight event!
Choose A School AZ will be hosting a very special movie screening of “Miss Virginia” on Feb. 3, 2020 at 6:00 pm at Harkins Tempe Marketplace. Families, students, community members and school leaders are welcome to attend! Virginia Ford Walden, whose true story, inspired this movie will be in attendance for a meet and greet at 5:15 pm to speak on wonderful School Choice Options available to families in Arizona. After years of activism, Virginia Walden Ford secured legislation that gave thousands of impoverished, largely minority children access to safe, high-quality schools. Many have since gone on to college and rewarding careers, an outcome that would have been unimaginable without the educational boost Virginia’s law provided.
Choose A School Arizona helps families find the best education for their children and helps quality schools tell their stories and find students. We work with K-12, Public, Charter, and Private schools – even online schools – depending what is best for the student. We also assist parents in applying for scholarships and Empowerment Savings Accounts if they choose to send their child to private school.
Started in 2011, National School Choice Week is the world’s largest annual education-related celebration. The goal of NSCW, which features participation from tens of thousands of schools and organizations, is to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options for children.
During National School Choice Week, schools across America celebrate the challenging, motivating, and effective education they provide to students. At the same time, parents use the week to learn more about the education options available to their children, in advance of the upcoming school year.
National School Choice Week is nonpartisan and nonpolitical, and is not related to any legislative advocacy efforts.
