– Celebrate National School Choice Week with a virtual event. DelawareCAN is excited to partner with the Delaware Charter School Network to celebrate National School Choice Week. We will be hosting an informational panel discussion on School Choice. Featuring panelists representing the many educational options Delaware families have, the panel will explore what makes each option a unique and vital addition to the education landscape. At DelawareCAN, we know that school is not one size fits all; and that choice helps drive excellence. Join us for a deep dive into the choices Delaware offers and make the best choice for your family.
Speakers: Dr. Bradley Layfield – Head Principal at Sussex Central High School and Levy Court Commissioner Eric Buckson – Retired Educator at Polytech High School

National School Choice Week shines a spotlight on effective education options for children and is the world’s largest celebration of opportunity in K-12 education.
As a not-for-profit effort, we focus equally on traditional public, charter, magnet, online, private, and home education options. We are nonpolitical and nonpartisan, and we do not advocate for legislation.
Every January, our participants plan tens of thousands of events and activities – such as school fairs, open houses, and student showcases – to raise awareness about school choice across all 50 states. Year-round, National School Choice Week develops resources and guides to assist families searching for schools or learning environments for their children.
