The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public, career and technical education district (CTED) that serves students who reside in East Valley school districts. Students from Apache Junction, Cave Creek, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Tempe, Higley and J.O. Combs spend a half-day at EVIT in a career preparation program and the other half-day at their home high school. Eleventh and twelfth-grade students can attend EVIT tuition-free. Bus transportation is provided to and from EVIT by the student’s home school district for most programs. High school students also have the option of enrolling in career and technical education (CTE) classes at their home school. These classes are offered by the school districts and funded by EVIT. EVIT also offers tuition based adult classes. EVIT Adult Career Training offers 12 programs that lead to industry certifications. Courses are available during AM session, PM session and evenings.
