Edison School of Innovation is excited to announce that they will be celebrating National School Choice Week (January 26-February 1, 2020) with a special spotlight event!
The event will showcase our after school programs and playground building program and raise funds for these programs through the AZ Tax Credit Program. We will feature guest speakers who will inform the audience about the importance of school choice and financial support opportunities. We will also showcase student performances in our dance, band, and culinary programs. We will share a brief video about our academic programs.
The Edison School of Innovation prepares students for a future that doesn’t yet exist by helping them learn to solve problems in a responsible way. The school provides a rigorous and relevant project-based approach to Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math that allows students to master core content as well as explore areas of interest. Teachers support our student learning by being educational innovators, incorporating effective instructional strategies with relevant tasks across the curriculum that students find both important and engaging.
Started in 2011, National School Choice Week is the world’s largest annual education-related celebration. The goal of NSCW, which features participation from tens of thousands of schools and organizations, is to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options for children.
During National School Choice Week, schools across America celebrate the challenging, motivating, and effective education they provide to students. At the same time, parents use the week to learn more about the education options available to their children, in advance of the upcoming school year.
National School Choice Week is nonpartisan and nonpolitical, and is not related to any legislative advocacy efforts.
