Students, teachers and staff at Hammocks Middle School in Miami, Florida are excited to announce that they will be celebrating National School Choice Week with a special event!
WHAT:
Hammocks Middle School will have a community outreach event and tour throughout the school to inform families about all the wonderful programs available at the school.
This event is open to the public.

Hammocks Academy of Legal Studies (HALS) Pre-Law Magnet is an award-winning program-within-a-school magnet program located in the western most suburban community of Miami-Dade County, Florida. The vision of HALS is to provide students with an in-depth research-based study of the legal, justice, and democratic systems through a technology-enhanced, interdisciplinary thematic approach to the concepts of civics, justice, ethics, diplomacy and the principles of democracy. The pre-law magnet curriculum concepts are integrated through the social studies and language arts courses. Magnet teachers offer all students in the school co-curricular enrichment opportunities through school wide presentations and project-based activities. The magnet program’s goal is to ensure that students advance to higher education knowing the foundations, the applications, the interpretation, and the ramifications of law on a global level.
