Students, teachers and staff at Jerry L White Center High School in Detroit, Michigan are excited to announce that they will be celebrating National School Choice Week with a special event!

WHAT:
Jerry L White Center will be celebrating school spirit all week along with participating in the kindness challenge, which is a school wide challenge to come together, care for each other, and grow in some much needed kindness!

Our additional activities will include; an art gallery displaying some of our students unique works, an assembly/pep rally with our cheerleaders leading us in some chants, a school wide dance, and a scarf give away. We will also be taking photos of our students during these events to post to our social media channels, and having a yellow day.”

This event is open to the public.

 WHO:
This event is hosted by Jerry L White Center High School.

Jerry L. White Center is a center-based high school for 14-18-year-old students with Severe Cognitive Impairments (SCI), Severe Multiple Impairments (SXI), Moderate Cognitive Impairments (MOCI), Dual Diagnosed-Emotional Impaired and Cognitive Impaired (DD); and students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The students and staff of Jerry L. White Center strive for excellence in everything they do. We practice Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) throughout our school. Our students take the Michigan MI-ACCESS alternate examination and follow an alternate curriculum. Students are promoted to an appropriate post-secondary vocational education program.
