Students, teachers and staff at Mater Academy Bonanza in Las Vegas, Nevada are excited to announce that they will be celebrating National School Choice Week with a special event!

WHAT:
Mater Academy will have a School Choice Week celebration with different activities each day. In addition to the activities, staff and students will participate in a Spirit Week. Students will also have a chance to learn the School Choice Dance during their PE periods and as a whole school perform on Friday, January 27, 2023, during the morning ceremony.

This event is open to the public.

This event is hosted by Mater Academy Bonanza.

Mater Academy of NV Bonanza Campus is a PreK-8 free public charter school, a school choice serving the East Las Vegas community. Mater Academy serves about 1.072 students of underprivileged backgrounds, a majority of whom are of Hispanic descent. The mission of Mater Academy is to provide an exemplary educational choice by offering an innovative college preparatory curriculum; empowering confident leaders of tomorrow. At Mater students are not asked if they are going to college. They’re asked, where? Mater’s Mission is that Mater provides a safe learning environment where academics are facilitated by teachers, administrators, parents, and the community which enables students to become confident, self-directed learners in technologically-rich, college preparatory environment through rigor, relevance, and relationships.
