Students, teachers and staff at McMillians First Steps Child Development Center / Academy in New Orleans, Louisiana are excited to announce that they will be celebrating National School Choice Week with a special event!

McMillian’s First Steps will be celebrating all week. We plan to have a movie night, a pep rally, a battle of the classes, a school dance night, and a teachers vs. student event

This event is not open to the public.

This event is hosted by McMillians First Steps Child Development Center / Academy.

Children, including those with disabilities, have early childhood development and learning experiences that honor their unique characteristics and prepare them for future school success. Families receive encouragement and support from service systems and their communities so they can achieve their own goals, and provide safe and nurturing environments for their young children. This recognition guides the design of early head start. Whereas the Academy promotes excellence, genuine learning for the whole-child education and equitable opportunities for all students in an environment that respects diversity fosters collaboration, and embraces learning in ever-changing world.

Every January, tens of thousands of schools, organizations, and individuals plan unique events and activities to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options in their communities. The Week is a project of the nonpartisan, nonpolitical National School Choice Awareness Foundation.
