OAK (Opportunity For All Kids) is excited to announce that they will be celebrating National School Choice Week (January 26-February 1, 2020) with a special spotlight event!
The event will feature a special movie screening of Miss Virginia and will be hosted at the AMC in Southdale. Families, students, legislators and community members are welcome to attend! Hailed as a “must-see” movie by USA Today, the film follows a struggling inner-city mother who sacrifices everything to give her son a good education. Unwilling to allow him to stay in a dangerous school, she launches a movement that could save his future—and that of thousands like him.

OAK is the premier advocacy organization in Minnesota focused on building grassroots support and advocating for school choice for families and students.
Started in 2011, National School Choice Week (NSCW) is the world’s largest annual education-related celebration. As a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, NSCW shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country. From January 26 through February 1, 2020, more than 50,000 independently-planned events will be held in celebration of the Week.
During NSCW, schools across America celebrate the challenging, motivating, and effective education they provide to students. At the same time, parents use the week to learn more about the education options available to their children, in advance of the upcoming school year.
