1st National School Choice Week School Fair at El Monte

The Parent Union is excited to announce that they will be celebrating National School Choice Week (January 26-February 1, 2020) with a special spotlight event!

The event will feature a school fair at Youth Build Charter School Of CA. Open to all community members, students, and parents Started in 2011, our NSCW School Fair at El Monte will be fun, festive, educational event and an opportunity for our families to come together and learn more about public quality education and school choice in a spirit of celebration. We will invite Elected Officials and community leaders as Guest Speakers and local agencies to provide resources to our families. There will be food, raffles, and live entertainment.

Parent Union consists of parents uniting with community members to ensure that all students receive an outstanding public education regardless of their zip code of residence. We strongly believe that it is every parents’ right to choose the best quality public education for their child whether it’s District Schools, Public Charter Schools, Home School, Magnet Schools, Independent Studies or Online Learning. We believe that there is power in the Collective voice of Parents!

National School Choice Week is the world’s largest annual education-related celebration. The goal of NSCW, which features participation from tens of thousands of schools and organizations, is to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options for children.

During National School Choice Week, schools across America celebrate the challenging, motivating, and effective education they provide to students. At the same time, parents use the week to learn more about the education options available to their children, in advance of the upcoming school year.

National School Choice Week is nonpartisan and nonpolitical, and is not related to any legislative advocacy efforts.
