FAYETTEVILLE (Jan. 16, 2019) – Students, parents, and local Veterans will share their stories of educational success at a National School Choice Week rally which runs 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at Cape Fear Botanical Gardens in Fayetteville.
The rally will begin with the national anthem performed by a local school choir, and will feature a variety of other performances by local students and testimonials from parents and families.
This event is planned to coincide with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.
“School choice in North Carolina is no longer a trend; it’s mainstream in our state. Every day, families and parents are more and more empowered with choice in their child’s education through a robust public-school system, growth in public charter schools, and a trio of state-sponsored private school choice programs that ensure families send their child to the school that suits them best,” said Brian Jodice, Executive Vice President at Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina (PEFNC). We’re proud of that progress here in North Carolina and will shout out the good news during National School Choice Week. From Cherokee to Currituck, families are demanding school choice.”
The Botanical Gardens are located at 536 N. Eastern Blvd. in Fayetteville.
PEFNC is hosting the event. For more information, contact Brian Jodice at (940) 867-0750 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
