OCEANSIDE (Jan. 16, 2019) – Educators, parents, students, and community leaders are joining together to recognize the success and growth of Scholarship Prep Charter School. On Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 8:30 a.m. hundreds of local community members will visit Scholarship Prep Charter School to attend the celebration of open enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year. The Honorable Peter Weiss, mayor of Oceanside, will be speaking at the event.
The event coincides with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.
“The Oceanside community believes that our future rests on the right of every parent to choose the best school for their child. In fact, we believe that Oceanside is a model for the rest of the state,” said Scholarship Prep Charter School co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Retired Senator Gloria Romero.
Romero continued, “Schools throughout our community are working together to help ensure that all children receive the world-class educational opportunities that they deserve. What we are accomplishing in Oceanside is possible everywhere. It is time for all Californians to work together and bring choice and opportunity to all students throughout California.”
The event is open to media and the public. For more information, contact Valerie Douglass at email@example.com or (442) 262-3249.
