EVENT ADVISORY: SVHA to hold event on January 24, 2019 to celebrate Homeschooling during National School Choice Week


This special event will raise awareness of opportunity in education

Winchester — Shenandoah Valley Area Homeschool Association will hold a special event during National School Choice Week, which will be held January 20-26, 2019, SVHA leaders announced today.

The event, “National School Choice Week Donut Dash & Chili Cook Off” is a Celebratory Gathering. The goal of the event is to raise awareness of opportunity in education.

At the event, the goal is to bring awareness to school choice & highlight homeschooling. SVHA expects 50 people to attend this event.

Held every January, National School Choice Week is the world’s largest annual celebration of opportunity in K-12 education. The week is nonpartisan and nonpolitical. The goal is to raise awareness of the different K-12 education options available for children, including traditional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, private schools, online academies, and homeschooling.

SVHA joins tens of thousands of homeschool groups, schools, organizations, chambers of commerce – and millions of individual Americans – in celebrating National School Choice Week.
