Nebraska

There are a variety of school choice options available for many of the 467,000 children living in Nebraska. Families in Nebraska can choose from traditional public schools, public magnet schools, private schools, and homeschooling.

If you’re a parent looking for school choice options for your child head to our Nebraska State Guide.

National School Choice Week (NSCW) informs, inspires, and empowers parents to discover the K-12 education options available for their children, including traditional public, charter, magnet, online, private, and home schooling.

Every January, tens of thousands of schools, organizations, and individuals plan unique events and activities to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options in their communities.

In 2024, we are partnering with 195 schools and organizations in Nebraska to raise awareness of K-12 education options.
