About the Event

Parents learned more about the different K–12 education options available for their kids at the Anchorage School Choice Expo on January 31st, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Alaska Native Heritage Center. At the school fair, families had the chance to meet representatives from various school models, including traditional public, public charter, public magnet, private, faith-based, online, home, and nontraditional schooling options, and got their questions answered. The Anchorage School Choice Expo was hosted by the Alaska School Choice in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. It was family-friendly, free to attend, and included complimentary refreshments, prizes, face painting, and balloon artists.
