Meet Alissa

Alissa Jacques is the Navigation Partnerships Manager at the National School Choice Awareness Foundation (NSCAF), where she leads partnership development and supports more than 30-state based partners in helping families navigate their K-12 options. Over the past decade, she has worked as a classroom teacher, policy researcher, and strategic communicator, bringing a unique perspective on how families experience school choice. In addition, Alissa serves as Board Chair of the National Association of Black Microschool Leaders, and on the Junior Board of the Advocates for the Children of New York (AFC). Her work centers on making complex systems clear and accessible so that families can make confident, informed decisions, and so that students can be placed in environments where they feel safe, supported, and set-up for success.
