School Choice Options In Alabama

There are a variety of school choice options available for many of the 1.1 million children living in Alabama. Families in Alabama can choose from traditional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, private schools, online academies, and homeschooling.

Alabama celebrated National School Choice Week 2019 with a record-breaking 744 events and activities across the state. Governor Kay Ivey issued an official proclamation recognizing Alabama School Choice Week 2020.
