School Choice in Rhode Island

There are a variety of school choice options available for many of the 210,000 children living in Rhode Island. Families in Rhode Island can choose from traditional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, private schools, and homeschooling.

In 2026, we are partnering with 103 schools and organizations in Rhode Island to raise awareness of K-12 education options.
