In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the DC Opportunity Scholarship program and in partnership with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation, Invest in Education will host a celebration at the Mansfield Room. Sen. Tim Scott will open the event which will include former Speaker Boehner, former Secretary DeVos, former DC Mayor Williams, and Virginia Walden Ford.

National School Choice Week 2025 features numerous large-scale school fairs in multiple states, offering parents unique opportunities to explore various schooling options, including public, charter, magnet, private, online, home, and microschooling environments.
From January 27th to January 31st, DC Parents Amplifying Voices in Education (DC PAVE) will be hosting Parent Voice and Choice Week in Washington DC, a week of organized meetings between elected officials and parent advocates to support school choice topics and educate legislators on the need for school choice. This event will bring together policymakers, elected officials, nonprofit partners, school leaders, Parent Leaders, and community members to celebrate the work by Parent Leaders and award policymakers and elected officials who have shown commitment to school choice and elevating parent voice.
Breakfast, lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the week, and this high-energy week will conclude with a happy hour for all participants!
