About the Event
On January 31st, 2026, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Oakland Enrolls and National School Choice Week hosted an informational event at Lazear Charter School to help families learn about local charter school options and get their enrollment questions answered. Oakland Enrolls had volunteers on hand to help attendees fill out applications for local free, public charter schools and to provide guidance on which school options would work best for each family. Interpreters were available in Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Mam, and Arabic, making the event accessible to the whole community. The event was fun and family-friendly, featuring student performances, photo booths, free refreshments, and other activities
