North Dakota

There are a variety of school choice options available for many of the 170,000 children living in North Dakota. Families in North Dakota can choose from traditional public schools, private schools, and homeschooling.

If you’re a parent looking for school choice options for your child head to our North Dakota State Guide.

National School Choice Week (NSCW) informs, inspires, and empowers parents to discover the K-12 education options available for their children, including traditional public, charter, magnet, online, private, and home schooling.

Every January, tens of thousands of schools, organizations, and individuals plan unique events and activities to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options in their communities.

In 2024, we are partnering with 56 schools and organizations in North Dakota to raise awareness of K-12 education options.
