Close to 3 dozen iconic landmarks or notable buildings will light up in red and yellow for the Week. The landmarks’ sparkling red and yellow lights will play a role in the festivities for National School Choice Week 2024. Families are invited to capture pictures of the landmarks’ lights––or their own at-home red and yellow light displays––to share on social media using #SchoolChoiceWeek

Please join Parents for Educational Freedom North Carolina and the National School Choice Awareness Foundation for an engaging celebration on January 24th from 10:00am to 1:00pm to celebrate the expansion of school choice in North Carolina through the Opportunity Scholarship program. Hosted at Halifax Mall on the grounds of the NC General Assembly, this event will include student performances, remarks from legislative leaders, tours of the legislative building, lunch and lots of fun surprises!

Whether you are considering finding a new school for your child, or are interested in supplemental education programs, the NC Charter School Fair offers parents the opportunity to discover the options available so that your daughter or son can learn, thrive, succeed, and be happy!

The NC Charter School Fair is hosted by the North Carolina Association for Public Charter Schools and the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. More than 20 schools, highlighting public charter schools will have booths and tables.

Attendance is FREE and FREE FOOD AND FAMILY ACTIVITIES will be provided! Join us!
