There are a variety of school choice options available for many of the 9.2 million children living in California. Families in California can choose from traditional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, private schools, online academies, and homeschooling.
In 2025, we are partnering with 2,332 schools and organizations in California to raise awareness of K-12 education options.
