What?

Families joined the Coalition of Idaho Charter School Families and the National School Choice Awareness Foundation for a school fair to celebrate school choice on January 25th from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Hosted at Wahooz Family Fun Zone, this event showcased schools representing a range of education options like traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, and private schools. Parents got the chance to meet educators and got their questions answered to help them make the best and most informed choice for their family. This event was fun and family-friendly, and featured a balloon artist, photo booths, free food and face painters!

Families joined HawaiiKidsCan and the National School Choice Awareness Foundation for the Hawaii K-12 Parent and School Expo at Windward Mall on January 25, 2025 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. This event highlighted a range of local school options such as traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, and private schools and will offer opportunities for families to connect with local learning partners. A student showcase highlighted local student performances throughout the day! This event was fun and family friendly, featuring entertainment and activities such as face painting, balloon artists, snacks, and a DJ!

What?

Families in Alaska have more choices for their children’s education than ever before! Parents learned more about the different K–12 education options available for their kids at the Anchorage School Choice Expo on January 25th 2025, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, at the Alaska Native Heritage Center.

At the school fair, parents had the chance to meet representatives from traditional public, public charter, public magnet, private, faith-based, online, home, and nontraditional schooling options, and get their questions answered. We also hosted an Educator of the Year and Student of the Year contest to highlight some of our outstanding community members!

The Anchorage School Choice Expo was hosted by the Alaska School Choice Coalition in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. It was family-friendly and free to attend.
