Families joined San Antonio Charter Moms and the National School Choice Awareness Foundation for a School Discovery Day at The DoSeum on January 25th 2025 from 9:00am – 12:00pm! This event was the flagship School Discovery Day for the 2024-2025 open enrollment season, and aimed to connect local parents with their school choice options so they can make the best and most informed choices for their families. Featuring over 40 local schools with a range of education options such as traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, and private schools, this event was a fun and informative day for the whole family! Attendees received FREE admission into the DoSeum.

On January 18th 2025, Families Empowered and the National School Choice Awareness Foundation gathered for a school fair to celebrate school choice. Hosted at Minute Maid Park, this event showcased schools representing a range of education options like traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, and private schools. Attendees got the chance to meet educators and got questions answered to help them make the best and most informed choice for your family. This event was fun and family-friendly, featuring a balloon artist, photo booths, free food and face painters!

What?

Families in Texas have more choices for their children’s education than ever before! Parents: learn more about the different K–12 education options available for your kids at the Fort Worth School Fair on February 1st 2025, from 11:00am to 2:00, at the Fort Worth Stockyards.

At the school fair, you’ll have the chance to meet representatives from traditional public, public charter, public magnet, private, faith-based, online, home, and nontraditional schooling options, and have your questions answered.

The Fort Worth School Fair is hosted by Families Empowered in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. It’s family-friendly, free to attend, and will include complimentary food, balloon artists and photo booths. RSVP today!
