On January 26th, 2024, Wichita Innovative Schools and Educators will host a field trip for students from non-traditional learning environments to the Exploration Place science center in honor of National School Choice Week! As the second annual School Choice Week event hosted by WISE, this event will provide an exciting learning experience for over 500 students and family members and provide a great way to celebrate school choice.
Students, parents, and educators from across the Sunflower State will gather to celebrate school choice at the state capitol on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024. More than 100 students are expected to attend to showcase their learning environment. The event will raise awareness of the K–12 education options for Kansas families, while providing an opportunity for community and state stakeholders to hear directly from families about how school choice has helped them learn and succeed. Hosted by the Kansas Policy Institute in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation, the event will also include speakers and student tours of the capitol.
