On January 28th 2025, in celebration of National School Choice Awareness Week, PEFNC hosted legislators on a series of school tours and read-alouds at local North Carolina schools. Legislators got the chance to meet students and hear about the importance of school choice first-hand!
These events were hosted by Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation.

National School Choice Week 2025 features numerous large-scale school fairs in multiple states, offering parents unique opportunities to explore various schooling options, including public, charter, magnet, private, online, home, and microschooling environments.
El evento se llevará a cabo en el Fletcher Opera Theatre del Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts, y contará con estudiantes participando en una variedad de actuaciones, además de resaltar el arte estudiantil en una muestra titulada “Por qué las Opciones Escolares son Importante para Mí”.
Este evento es organizado por la Asociación de Escuelas Charter Públicas de Carolina del Norte en colaboración con la National School Choice Awareness Foundation. On January 30th 2025 from 11am-12pm, the North Carolina Association for Public Charter Schools hosted a student showcase to celebrate National School Choice Awareness Week!
