From Alaska to New York, America will light up in yellow and red to raise awareness about K-12 education opportunities during National School Choice Week 2024! (January 21–27, 2024).

Close to 3 dozen iconic landmarks or notable buildings will light up in red and yellow for the Week. The landmarks’ sparkling red and yellow lights will play a role in the festivities for National School Choice Week 2024. Families are invited to capture pictures of the landmarks’ lights––or their own at-home red and yellow light displays––to share on social media using #SchoolChoiceWeek

Please join Charleston RISE, the South Carolina Education Choice Coalition and National School Choice Awareness Foundation on January 26th, 2024 9:00am – 12:00pm for a celebration of school choice! Hosted at the University of South Carolina Alumni Center, this event will begin with a talent showcase from 9:30am – 10:30am featuring students from across the state. At 10:45am, we will continue with a spirit-filled march to the State Capitol Building for a celebration program running from 11:00am to 12:00pm. We will celebrate students’ access to school choice with a Proclamation from the governor and hear speeches from parents and students to share their school choice story!

Later in the day at the Alumni Center, there will be a presentation for parents on school choice public policy change.
