What?
Families in Alaska have more choices for their children’s education than ever before! Parents learned more about the different K–12 education options available for their kids at the Anchorage School Choice Expo on January 25th 2025, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, at the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
At the school fair, parents had the chance to meet representatives from traditional public, public charter, public magnet, private, faith-based, online, home, and nontraditional schooling options, and get their questions answered. We also hosted an Educator of the Year and Student of the Year contest to highlight some of our outstanding community members!
The Anchorage School Choice Expo was hosted by the Alaska School Choice Coalition in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. It was family-friendly and free to attend.
