Families in Connecticut have more choices for their children’s education than ever before! Parents: learn more about the different K–12 education options available for your kids at the New Haven School Choice Expo on February 1st 2025, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at Wilbur Cross High School.
This school fair will be showcasing our public magnet programs! You’ll have the chance to meet representatives from local public charter schools and have all your questions answered.
Agenda:
11:00am Launching to Pre-K & Kindergarten: Families will learn about the pre-K and kindergarten landscape in New Haven Public Schools.
11:40am Betsy Ross: Families will learn about the exciting new opportunities available at Betsy Ross for rising 9th grade students
12:10pm ACES Open Choice: Families will learn about the ACES Open Choice program which enables students to attend school in other districts.
12:40pm NHPS Pathways: Families will learn about the various career pathways available to high school students to prepare them for careers after high school.
1:10pm TetherEd: As a partner of New Haven Public Schools, TetherEd will educate families how to efficiently use the school explorer tool available on newhavenmagnetschools.com to find the best fit schools.
The New Haven School Fair is hosted by Choose A School and New Haven Public Schools in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. It’s free to attend, and will include complimentary snacks and family friendly-activities like photo booths, balloon artists and a DJ. RSVP today!
