National School Choice Week (NSCW) informs, inspires, and empowers parents to discover the K-12 education options available for their children, including traditional public, charter, magnet, online, private, and home schooling.
Every January, tens of thousands of schools, organizations, and individuals plan unique events and activities to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options in their communities.
In 2025, we are partnering with 272 schools and organizations in Nevada to raise awareness of K-12 education options.

15 Schools for 15 Years – Southeast Career and Technical Academy will celebrate National School Choice Week (NSCW) as a featured school for their 15th anniversary with a Winter Spirit Week. On Friday, Jan. 31, we will set up a photo booth during lunch periods where students can take photos with School Choice swag and receive treats for posting them. At our special assembly, we’ll announce our status as a School Choice All-Star featured school, featuring a DJ to energize the crowd. Students will receive spirit items including clappers, pom poms, spirit beads, and spirit sticks to join in the celebration.
