Families in Iowa have more choices for their children’s education than ever before! Parents learned more about the different K–12 education options available for their kids at the Des Moines School Fair on January 25th 2025, from 1:00pm – 3:00pm, at the Iowa State Fair Grounds.

The Des Moines School Fair was hosted by the Iowa Alliance for Choice in Education in collaboration with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. It was family-friendly, free to attend, and included complimentary food, a balloon artist, and face painters.

They were given the chance to meet educators and get their questions answered to help make the best and most informed choice for their family!

This school fair was the nation’s largest school choice week event, with over 80 schools attending to represent a range of education options like traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, and private schools.
